How do I know you don't have a conflict of interest with my case?
Our legal assistants and paralegals always check for a conflict of interest when scheduling initial consultations.
I don't know if I have a case. Can you review it before I come in for an appointment?
Everything starts with a consultation with one of our attorneys. We do not review materials and/or exchange phone calls with potential new clients before the scheduled consultation.
Do you charge for consultations?
Yes. The consultation rates differ depending on which attorney you speak to.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes, any cancellations or changes to appointments made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged half of the consultation price.
Do you take cases on a contingency basis?
Our financial arrangements differ on a case-by-case basis. A number of factors go into consideration, including but not limited to: the work that needs to be done, the deadlines of the case, and your income/ability to pay. The attorney will discuss your options with you during your consultation, which may include representing you on a contingency basis.
How do I know if I am within the statute of limitations for my claim?
Employment claims have various statutes of limitations that are all triggered by different events. The deadline for your claim will depend upon the law under which the claim arises. We ask all potential new clients to draft timelines to ensure that we can be as accurate as possible in discussing your claims with you.
